A question called upon the OSCH young people to rethink, trace and transform the tangible and the intangible. From the UKs music capital, Manchester, to the city of lights, Karachi, numerous designers, Fine artists, and other creative individuals express and communicate the social and individual responses or their shared culture and heritage through the language of South Asian Cuisine.

The creative blend of photography, illustration, digital art, and poetry and prose, crosses geographical boundaries and coasts and records the similarities and diversities of South Asian cooking methods and traditions.

This book takes you on a journey, where you look through a young lens and explore the world of narrated histories, hidden recipes maps, music and much more. Dig into the South Asian food culture in Karachi and Manchester, from the local streets and markets to the comfort of home-cooked meals. A visual treat exploring the odd and the ordinary, the forbidden and the told, the calm and the comical figure of a multicultural and ethnically diverse society.
